September 1, 2025. Here’s the follow up on the LJ’s Wranglerfix PCM. Since installing the PCM about 1k miles ago it has ran well! No CEL, no issues whatsoever. It’s been driven both highway but mostly city commuting in the heat of the … More South Texas summer. After having a “new” PCM installed previously only to have it fail soon after, it’s understandable to be somewhat skeptical. However, I don’t have any hesitation in recommending this PCM. the case is much more robust than the OEM unit and just feels solid. Made a believer out of me.
Thank you Wranglerfix.
2005 TJ (LJ) 4.0, six spd manual. 134,060 miles but highly taken care of.
PCM was replaced by a local shop less than 5k miles ago. Started throwing the infamous O2 sensor heater circuit codes for all four brand new OEM O2 sensors. Jeep runs ok but with annoying CEL. Took it to a trusted shop, said the PCM needs replacing. Their vendors couldn’t source one.
Read quite a few TJ forums and Wrangler Fix seemed to rise to the top. Ordered May 1st, 2025. Arrived May 5th. Installed today May 5th 2025.
Swapped PCM out in 15 minutes, didn’t disconnect battery but careful around the posts. Jeep started up as usual, CEL no longer illuminated. Drove around the block and seems to run fine. Will monitor over the next 1,000 miles or year (not a DD) and post update.
I was impressed with Mark’s enthusiasm and product confidence. Would recommend to others with similar issue. There are many sites claiming they sell a guaranteed PCM. “BUYER BEWARE.” -

Helluva a nice guy to talk with, called at 7:30pm wasn't expecting anyone to answer, not only did he answer we talked 20 minutes and I was convinced he definitely knew his stuff, order Monday night received ecm for my tj Thursday and … More shifting problems disappeared. If you have a automatic tj and have issues call him before you rebuild a transmission for no reason. -

My brother's 05 Rubicon had the check engine light come on during the CA smog check so it failed. The code was for no TCM communication, and it eventually got stuck in second gear. Online posts pointed to a computer. I called and … More spoke with Mark and ordered a new computer which arrived in just a few days. Plugged it in and it was immediately fixed. It passed the smog test just days later. Thanks Mark! I would highly recommend Wranglerfix. -

I purchased a new PCM for my automatic 06' LJ.
No more 02 sensor codes, my transmission shifts much smoother, and my main issue (my alternator was overcharging due to a failed factory PCM) is now fixed thanks to Mark at Wrangler Fix. … More Mark was knowledgeable when helping me troubleshoot my issue to make sure I actually needed a PCM before ordering it. I would highly recommend people to spend the money and buy quality, wrangler Fix is in my opinion a quality service and so far a quality PCM. -

Review in case others are experiencing same issues. 2006 tj 4.0 automatic, last year replaced the transmission, it has 106,000 miles on it and it gave out one day, when this happened there were overheat codes , hard shifts and when the … More transmission was take apart it was found that 3/4 gears were toast. Fast forward to this year and was doing great until last month, about 11 months, keep in mind this jeep moves 1 day a week for 20 miles, it sits a lot, one day after sitting outside for a week it wouldn’t crank, received code p0688 asd circuit, dash and radio and blower would come on but absolutely nothing from the engine, no click, no crank just quiet , went down the rabbit hole of checking grounds, swapping relays, testing circuits, testing fuses, swapping fuses, staring at wires , opening wire loom hoping to find a bad wire and buying a battery, but to no avail. Due to transmission codes last year the hard shifts I had before the transmission said I quit and the new code about the asd but everything checking out fine I was pretty set on the pcm, called mark and Jennifer at wrangler fix sent my old pcm and got a call back the day it arrived to them, results : dead on arrival. Mark said it was unusual it was just dead out the gate but it’s not unheard of. Bought the optimized unit, waited for it to arrive , plugged in and mounted it, clenched my cheeks and turned the key and I yelled it’s alive in my best Frankenstein voice ! Turned over beautifully, haven’t driven it more than 2 miles , but all seems great. It runs! The optimized version of this pcm seems more peppy, smoother, cleaner, idle is sweet. I am beyond impressed with this product and the fact that I followed my gut and pulled the trigger to the pcm being the culprit.Jeeps are fun, they say Just Empty Every Pocket and it’s true but when you have a shop like wrangler fix around to help , it makes an empty pocket that much better! Thanks wranglerfix a lot! -

I have a 2005 wrangler with a 4.0 and 6 speed manual transmission. I started by having random stalling issues with no explanation or codes. One day I came out and it just wouldn’t crank. Started troubleshooting and found that my fuel pump … More relay & starter relay were not working. It turns out the PCM supply’s the ground for the relays on the 05-06 wranglers. I posted on some forums about what was going on and Mark (the owner of wrangler fix) reached out to me and asked me to call him. After a very informative conversation he confirmed my suspicions that I had a PCM problem. I ordered one Thursday morning. I got the tracking number the same day and a new PCM and a cool sticker at my door on Monday. I am very pleased with the quality of the PCM and the fast shipping. I put it in and it started right up. I have put 1,000 miles on it now with no issues. I definitely recommend them. The only problem I have is I didn’t call them sooner than I did! -

I own a 2005 Jeep Wrangler X, and recently, the check engine light came on with five different transmission error codes. The Jeep also started shifting hard and at higher RPMs. Since this is my first Jeep and it's already 20 years … More old, I reached out to WranglerFix for help.I sent them the scan codes, and they immediately diagnosed the issue as a faulty PCM. I quickly ordered a new one, which arrived the very next day. Installation was easy, and just like that—the error codes disappeared, and my Jeep is shifting and running perfectly again! If you have an older Jeep and are experiencing similar issues, do yourself a favor and contact Mark at WranglerFix. Their expertise and fast service made all the difference! Highly recommend. -

My 2015 Jeep JK (manual transmission, 2.5” lift, 35” tires, stereo amplifier) was running terribly. The biggest problem was the engine would stall/completely shut off after about 30 minutes of driving. The car also would “buck” during gear … More shifts and have a small erratic idle. Sometimes the engine would start up right away, but most of the time i had to wait about 10 minutes before it would start again. Kind of scary when stuck in the middle of the road. After reading all the similar problems online and doing the usual crankshaft position sensor replacement AND harness/ wire replacement, the problem was still there. I decided to replace the PCM through Wrangler Fix and my JK runs SUPER SMOOTH now. I cant thank Mark and his staff enough for the great product and fantastic customer service. This business is a great resource for your PCM needs. Mark even made sure that it was likely a PCM issue by asking what was going on and what OBD codes are showing up. He didn't want me spending money that wasn’t necessary. Honest business practice. Thank you again Wrangler Fix. Keep doing what you’re doing. 🙂

Long term update 2 years later: Everything is as good as it can be with my new PCM, no problems and still night and day better performance from the stock unit. It's made up hills into the mountains as tolerable as they can be with … More the Auto trans limited gears/overdrive and 4.0s avaliable power. Mileage is consistent and no quirks to speak of. Smooth shift points at any speed and must utilize the overdrive better as it almost feel like it has more than 3 gears now. I can even induce a downshift at highway speeds for some passing rpms by letting off and back onto the gas a touch. No more crazy shifting 2000 to 4000 rpm swings back and forth on the highway. Can't speak highly enough here, if you're looking for the fix this is where its at. Would have done the skim "delete" same time if i had known more about that but I know who to send it off to when its time. Worth every penny and the only complaint I could have is how far away Florida is from AZ but still would be worth sending it out even further to know its taken care of properly.
Update: Had the jeep out on a good drive and spent some time working it in low range with good results. Other than wishing I had a manual the auto is working out much better now. Its seems happier and better tuned to get what you can out of the transmission/engine. Not sure if I'm getting better fuel mileage but it seemed good until I was working it in low range as expected. I feel it has a fighting chance on the hill climbs now even at 75+, especially if ya have a run at it. The rpm range and gear selections seem far more useful and appropriate compared to the OEM PCM. I can drive with the over drive on where as I had to turn it off just to hope for more than 2k rpm at highway speeds before. Definitely worth the money so far and I think the best option if ya have PCM troubles.
Update: My new PCM arrived and after the first test drive all seems well. It isn't spending so much time screaming RPM for no reason when your on the gas and the shift points seems much more appropriate. Feels like it actually has a top end and pulls fairly consistently with a little power band perk up. Much improvement over stock PCM to say the least, I wasn't into the troubles so far it wasn't drivable but worth it so far, as expected. I will update again after a longer trip with some hills
Purchased an 05 TJU Rubicon Sahara and came upon Mark/wranglerfix as I went down the PCM nightmare threads online. So far I have had a great impression just talking to Mark and expect the same when my PCM arrives. I'll update my review when I get some feedback to share on how awesome things worked out. Thanks Mark I'll be in touch. -

I have 2005 Jeep TJ. MY codes evap, o2, no communication, one mechanic said it needed a timing chain that was the code then I couldn't drive. STALL BANG SHIFTS LIKE I FORGOT TO PUSH IN CLUTCH flashing engine light and all gauges dead … More on dash. Then off and on again terrible idle.... I saw this video and purchased the pcm and was worried about the money. Then I installed it and was finally happy to have a properly running, no codes, crazy banging shifts, or stalls, mirrors and idle were calm again as were my nerves. 5 min install and I am not a car repair guy just basic stuff and this falls under very basic install. Everything that is described in the video is 100% accurate. And this will solve your problem if your jeep is doing as detailed in the video and on the wranglerfix site or ESP what I experienced. Sometimes you buy something and you can't actually believe that you didn't get ripped off, a con, or scammed. I am shocked this worked and it went well but it absolutely did. I feel build quality and something to last is a thing OF the past. The people here made this thing for you to have your jeep on the damn road. Thanks for exactly providing excellent product for my problem. -
