Add-Ons

When you send your module to us for repair, we offer several add-ons that you may opt to purchase. Below is a description of the add-ons we offer. Please note that some options may not be available depending on the year and model of your vehicle.

Re-flash
Sometimes the issue could be, partially, or in full, software related. Something in the flash could become corrupted. It could become corrupted by a power surge or some type of electromagnetic activity. We will ensure that the software the OEM designed for your vehicle is programmed correctly in the module. Only applies to PCMs and TCMs.

Software Upgrade
If the vehicle was taken to the dealer for service a few times under warranty during the early years, the dealer usually upgrades the vehicle software to the latest flash. The flash usually corresponds to the last two letters of your part number. The part number looks something like this: 00000000AE (8 numbers and 2 letters) Almost always, the first letter is an A and the second letter corresponds to the flash version. So if your vehicle has the letters AF and the OEM’s latest is AH, that means that your version is two versions behind. What are in these upgraded versions? Mostly software adjustments to your powertrain or Technical Service Bulletin fixes. We recommend the latest software. If you select the software upgrade, there is no need for a re-flash.

Deep Dive Repair
If components are within the minimum technical specifications and are deemed to be operational, we do not replace those components. Especially if it is not within the realm of the issues your vehicle is having. If a component looks like it might fail sometime in the future, or is questionable, we will replace it. As one example, a set of components can start to leak inside the board and damage or corrode the board over time. Generally, these components are replaced automatically if they do not meet specs or if they look like they may fail soon. Some are within specs and might not have visible or technical issues. A deep dive repair will replace KNOWN issues with your particular module. This repair, essentially, is just a few specs short of a rebuilt module and it extends your repair an additional 90 days on the top of the 90 repair warranty for a total of 180 days.

Rebuild
Your Module will undergo through a rebuild, it comes with a 1-year warranty and it allows you to purchase a second year of Warranty for a total of 2 years for $75.00 at check out.
